How to get the chain back on a garage door opener?
The garage door chain just came off the little gear that drives it. Is there a way for me to put it back on or should I call a professional?
There should be an adjustment screw that allows you to either move the garage door opener itself or the sprocket at the other end. Adjust it until the chain can be put back on, then adjust it the other way to tighten the chain back up. You want some slack in the chain when you get done though, so don’t overtighten.
